Greenwich, Connecticut (January 28, 2016) – Oak HC/FT, a leading venture growth-equity fund investing in healthcare information and financial technology companies, announced today the appointment of Michael Heller as Venture Partner.
“Michael has been a Senior Advisor to the firm since its inception last year,” said Patricia Kemp, General Partner at Oak HC/FT. “We are thrilled to have Michael as part of our team and to leverage his 25 years of leadership and expertise in information services, data and analytics for the payments, lending and banking industries.”
The addition of Mr. Heller comes at a time of remarkable growth and momentum for Oak HC/FT. Over the last 18 months Oak HC/FT has invested in 12 companies, and added several senior members to the team, most recently Ezekiel J. Emanuel.
“Oak HC/FT has begun 2016 in a position of strength and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of its fintech portfolio,” said Michael Heller. “The Oak HC/FT team’s approach is to be a hands-on, collaborative resource to the companies in which it invests– from leveraging its extensive network to providing counsel, board-level participation and strategic execution. I look forward to supporting this important mission.”
Michael Heller is President and board member of FactorTrust, an alternative credit bureau which provides solutions that utilize its rich, proprietary data not available from traditional credit bureaus, driven by a strong technology platform and best-in-class predictive analytics.
Over the past several years, he has provided strategic advisory services to several of the largest U.S. banks and U.K. financial institutions.
